6WB Installation Help in So Cal
Hey guys,
I'm considering getting the 6WB instrument cluster for my F10 (mine is 6WA). Anyone in San Diego (or nearby) familiar with doing the transfer? I know it requires a bit of grease work but the most important part seems to be the coding once it's installed, which I have no clue how to do as of now. Anyone willing to help a fellow out if I do decide to make the purchase? |

That is what we need to discuss. It's a pain in the donkey and I do not have the necessary tools to update the EEPROM on the used cluster, and I don't want to flash your ECUs either. If you get the cluster from somewhere that does load your VIN into it before sending it to you, then the software aspect is basic, and we can easily do that.

There are places in Europe that will sell and send the 6WB to you, then connect to your car remotely to complete the coding. That is the easiest way to go, and I recommend it. Unless you have expertise in EEPROM and ECU flashing, go with the turnkey solution:
