Another 19 inch wheel question

Hi guys, i want to start by saying thanks to all your guys for all the informative posts you put on here.. I was on 5series.net when i had my E60, i just upgraded to a 2014 528xi M Package. I have a pair of replica m6 rims that i used as a summer set up on my E60, the specs are 19x 8.5 ET 35 and 19X 9.5 ET 40. I ran 245/35/19 & 275/30/19 on my E60 XI and had no issues. I have read several threads on here with ppl suggesting 255/40/19 and 285/35/19. Would this work for my setup?

I would go with 245/40/19 and 285/35/19. Xdrive will have no issues with that setup. Good luck!

Or you can just do OEM sizing 245/40/19 + 275/35/19.

Make sure that you go with whatever BMW recommends as long as it's under warranty. A large difference in rolling circumference F/R will be hard on the X-drive system.

The 245/40 and 275/35 or 285/35 creates a difference of 0,52% or -0,52% respectively. Or in effect when the front wheels are rolling at 80km/h, the rear wheels would roll at 80,41km/h (or 79,59km/h) to rotate at the same speed.

My advice would be to do the same setup that BMW use on the M550d X-drive. That is as Remmib suggested above, 245/40R19 and 275/35R19

I had the 275/35/19 on my E60, but it seemed too strenched. Would 285/35/19 not work if i went with the 245/40/19? I'm trying to make the 19's look as best as they can without upgrading to a 20's.

Ok great. Thanks. Would you be getting rid of your 20's when you get your 21's?

Hey Dan, i saw your post where you were selling your M5 reps. I was able to get rid of my 19's and now i'm looking at 20". I have two pairs on ebay that i like.. the first one 20x 8.5 and 20x 9.5 both ET 35 and the second pair is 20x 8.5 ET 33 and 20x10 ET 35. Would they both work on my 2014 M 528XI? I'm going to run the same tire specs you had on your 20"s.

I had the second set you mentioned. With the tire specs I said you will be fine. That's exactly what I ran. You'll love it

So either of them would work?
20x 8.5 and 20x 9.5 (ET 35 front & rear) and 20x 8.5 ET 33 and 20x10 ET 35.Thanks again.

Offset wise both ET33 and ET35 will work.

Thanks for the input. I guess i'm just trying to decide which size to go with. Would the 20 x 10 ET 35 rear look better than the 20x 9.5 ET 35? Or it won't make any difference

Yup the 20x10 et35 will be more aggressive and no it didn't rub lowered on h&r springs. I say go with the 10's you'll be happy you did
