Tire Recommendations Any one 18 inch 245/45 R18?

Hi,

I have a 2011 F10 520D and use it mainly for business. I do a few motorway runs. Yesterday I had the car in the dealership and they tell me I need two rear tires need to be replaced. I have only done 10K miles (16.4KMs) and don't drive the car vigorously (it a diesel).

I am very disappointed in the tire ware performance of the current set an expected to get between 18-20K miles to a set a per my E90 run flats. The current tires are Dunlop ST Sportmax SPs 245/45 R18 on V spoke BMW alloys. The tire pressures were checked and are fine.

Does anyone have a recommendation of which model/brand they would suggest to get the best ware / performance? This is my second F10 and the changed the last one at 13K miles and the Continental tires I had looked to fine when I changed the car.

Any recommendations / experiences would be welcome.

Thanks.

Tire ware

Interesting to hear that you are seeing tire ware.... I've had problems with front tires on 520d. 2011 car, 30K Km most of it motorway and outside 20mm of both front tire almost down to legal limit and remainder of tire good for another 20-30k.

Talked to the dealer and was told tracking was off and that it would cost me to have the tracking fixed plus two new tires €600.. I've contacted BMW as I don’t' think this should be happening on a car less than an year old. I've had two BMWs from new 320d & 520d and never had a problem with wheel alignment with 150k km on both...

Let see what BMW come back with...
