2015 Lease advice NY/NJ area

Hello all, I'm in the market for a 528/535 xdrive and I wanted to reach out to the community for some input. Im looking to lease a 2015 with at least the following options : m sport/drivers assistance/cold weather/premium. So far a couple of deals have slipped through my hands -

528i xdrive :539/mo with 5k down all inclusive of tax title etc.
535i xdrive : 661/mo with 5k down all inclusive.. ( this one had lighting pkg and multi contour seats as well as harman kardon. )

Was wondering if I should wait for incentives on 2016 models instead. Does anyone have any input on whether I can possibly get these same numbers on a current 2016 model given that the holidays are coming up? Also if any of my NY/NJ neighbors have any dealer recommendations Id appreciate it. Many thanks and hope to officially join the club soon.

did you check bmwusa.com? I was looking there before and saw something like 549/mo or something for a 535i xdrive. I dont know if its the same options you are looking for thought.

Those prices sound WAY too high.
Never put money down on a lease!

I got my car from BMW of Manhattan - they should be able to do invoice minus any incentives....

Sorry, how are you guys finding deals with no money down? In the least even with zero down, there are still taxes and dmv no? Also, I had no luck at BMW of manhattan, mind if I ask who you dealt with over there?

Thanks for the offer- while it's enticing, I'd really like for it to be brand new.

I appreciate the sentiment. A few minutes on youtube and I know what you mean now. It just seems hard to find dealers in NY NJ that will utilize these numbers lol.

The lease/buy numbers are never as low as one thinks.

By the time you walk out of the dealership, you are always paying a lot of more money than you originally anticipated. However, these are very nice cars. Just not inexpensive to own.

As it was previously said, do not put money down on a lease. If you do, you are paying equity into a car that is not yours. What is the dealer calculating as the residual after the lease is complete?

My CA is no longer there.
But My lease is ending and they offered me any car I want at invoice besides i8, new 7, or //M.

I recommend to email dealers and deal with them through email.
Crazy deals available on 5series.
Remember there is an option credit of $2,000 on 2015s and $1,000 on 2016s.
These incentives should me deducted from invoice.

Also you can go to any of the lease brokers all over NYC and they will give you close to invoice deal with no haggling.

This makes no sense at all.

There are numerous calculators and apps available to calculate lease payments incluing taxes and other fees.
You should be within $10 of the final lease # you get from dealer.

Very easy to make sure u are not getting ripped off.

Start off with MSRP, minus 7.19% that will give you invoice price, then minus whatever incentives or ask for $500-1000 below invoice. that will give you final buying price.

use the below link to do your calculation
http://www.hoopdi.com/index.php/car-...ase-calculator

Msrp
buying price
Residual
month term

that will give you payments without tax.
you can roll the taxes in the payment and just pay out of pocket fees.
you should be around $10-20 from actual payments.

When you say "no money down" do you actually mean that? As I mentioned what about the non-negotiable fees like tax title doc acquistion?

Believe or not the lease brokers havent been able to touch the deals i got directly from the BMW dealer.

All fees can be rolled in to your payment including taxes, acquistion fee etc.

Normally i only pay 1st month, DMV, and Acq fee when i pick up the car.

Yes, I mean $0. I have not leased a car in a long time, but this is always how I did it. I don't think that their should be any doc or title fees as the car is not yours. The only thing that you should pay is the first payment.

Can someone who has leased recently chime in here?

With a lease you are negotiating one number, and one number only. That is the total of payments. How the dealer arrives at that number is almost irrelevant. Your offer at $24,404 for an approx. $63k car sounds like a good deal, if it includes tax. I leased a $62k 528i in Florida in August and my total of payments is $23,668, with MSDs. Incentives are likely better on remaining '15 models, if you can find one as you want it equipped. The national offer at $449/month + $4374 + taxes (7% for FL, not sure on NY) equals $21,670 on a $52,745 car. Getting another $10k worth of options for $2,734 in payments is not bad.

There are fees for plates, registration, etc
On top of that, Dealer usually has a Doc Fee which is pure profit for them, expect $100 to $500 depending how bad they are ripping you off.

R N M, thanks for your input thus far. Question regarding MSD's...since we are in NYC, we don't have that advantage am I correct? Did you consider doing a deal in NJ solely for MSD's at all?

I personally have not done MSDs.
Correct - NY dealers can't do it.
