I think it looks great and not like a stupid gangsta tint. As it's only the rear windows I wouldn't say it reduces the temperature significantly.

Even a police officer failed to notice the rear passenger (disabled) when questioning my use of a disable badge in a previous car. That definitely speaks for the privacy element.
As for temp… couldn't really say for certain, but by the laws of physics, it would help a bit. Obviously protects leather from the sunlight too. |

I believe it reduces the UV and some IR transmission through the glass along with looking nice especially on the F11. The windscreen option 358 definately works as you can still touch the dash top on sunny days
I have sun protection glass and the climate comfort windscreen, the manufacturers are mixed between Pilkington and AGC automotive. http://www.agc-automotive.com/english/products/my.html - maybe unless bmw ordered a specific variant. |

If you are looking to lower the temperature the perhaps the climate comfort windscreen is of interest
I have it in my car and you can feel a difference between it and the side windows although in retrospect its not an option I'd go for again as I think the a/c handles the heat ok (whe we have it) Might be a good idea if you opted for a leather dashboard but for the uk its benefits are perhaps rather limited. I've never really understood the 'drug dealer pack' sorry I mean timted windows for the rear passengers but that's just me |
