I want a BMW 5 ser wagon

No Alpina b5 wagon and no 5 series wagon. BMW wants me to buy a mercedes or volvo v90, I might just do that.

Thanks BMW.

BMW makes them, you just need to move to a different country.

Your beef is with BMWNA

Shame the US market has gone off "station wagons", doesn't support enough sales to make the wagon a viable model.

Wagons are brilliant bits of kit, we really llke them in the UK, love mine.

I suspect BMW have a slightly different image in the USA, compared to Merc and Audi, BMW sedans being the alternative to the BMW SUVs.

I spent six months over in Germany, and the wagons were all over the place. I think they look pretty sweet, I would have bought one over the sedan I have. But I'm sure BMW NA can make a ton more money per unit sold on an X5 compared to an F11.

It becomes a bit of a self sustaining circle....because no 5 wagon I buy an X5. Marketing guys then say "see, everyone wants a SUV". We had a 1989 Volvo 740 GL wagon for hauling the family way back - still one of the best vehicles I've had

I'd give body parts for them to bring a 5 wagon to the states.

They did bring 5er wagons to US all the way up to F10 and not that many people gave up "body parts" to own them and they were discounted heavily to be to move them.

Besides couple of wagon fan boys out there, there really isn't a market for them in the US.

In Europe one car serves up multiple purposes, in the US most house holds have multiple cars one of them usually being an SUV which eliminates the need for a wagon. That's just the sad truth and as discussed above manufacturers are all about profits.

Yep, fully understand. Companies do exist to generate profits, and on several occasions I find myself in the minority of their demographics.

The 3 series wagon is too small for us to be of any utility. To be honest, I love our SUVs, but when the minivan became a soccer moms car, the SUV became a mans car.

Now, the SUV is a soccer moms car, I want to go back to a wagon.
