I find the RPM in top gear in the 535D M S, slightly LOWER than the 435D GC Xdrive I just sold.
@85 MPH the 535D shows 1800 ish.

My long term average (30k miles from 60k to 90k) is 34.5mpg per the OBC.
This is on a 2010 Msport, 245bhp, without stop start and with 19 inch run flats.
Most of this is fast motorway M40, M6, M74 and I always have the climate control on at 16-19C.

My old company car which I had from new, 2010 E92 330d, 245bhp, manual gearbox on 18inch run flats gave 36.5mpg over 55k miles whilst I had it Sept 2010 - Sept 2014.

Initially I thought, the thermostats may not be functioning in the F10 but I reviewed this via the hidden menu's and the water temperature does rise above 85C so no issues there.

My long term average on my 2010 245bhp 530d was 35mpg. My long term average on my 2015 258bhp 530d is 40mpg though my usage has skewed a bit in favour of more Motorway stuff.

Interesting figures.

Quite heartening for my petrol figures at 30.5mpg, long term. Not that I'm directly comparing or advocating petrol. My decision was assessed on about a 7mpg drop for choosing petrol, compared to having a 530d.

Looking at your figures, including the 330d (I had the E91 330d), I don't think I was far off my assessment for my use.

Is that the F10 and/or the 330d?

I did try the F10 530d auto, 'back to back' with an F10 535i auto on which I based my assessment. Also cross referenced to my 330d for long term use. Latest 530d F10/11's should be a bit better, then so should the later build 535i models.

Here's my MPG over the last year (535d F10). Lots of motorway work. Average real MPG (from the pump) is 48, recently going down due to increased town and fun driving.

Sorry to contribute to an old thread. Hey - I love the chart (I am maintaining a spreadsheet myself!) and am wondering how did you calibrate your car in the summer?
