Built my ordered 550i everything looks great, did notice I was unable to find the anthracite headliner even though BMW accepted it on my order and I am scheduled for build 3-May to 7-May.

BMW 5 Series on BMW NA Site

Hey guys it's official! The new F10 BMW 535i and 550i are now on BMW NA's site and you can build your own. Be careful though, this thing gets expensive with options

Lol, I put in everything except for active steering and...something else, don't remember. So the active seats are like massaging seats that don't really massage??

The detailed description for the "Sport automatic transmission with shift paddles" claims it is a 6 speed. That's not correct, right? I thought that only the 8 speed auto was being offered.

Question

How do we access the configurator that lets us see the different tire options like the one on the main page?

When I click on design, I do not see any of these options

I put together a lightly optioned car with Sport Pak, and a few options and realized you can only get the Universal Garage door opener with the Premium pak, which is $1,800. NICE JOB BMW. It's standard on many Honda's and Toyota's but the ONLY way to get it on a $60k BMW is to order an $1,800 package I have no need for.

Note to BMW: IT SHOULD BE STANDARD!!!!

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

You are correct. The 8 speed auto was the only transmission I have heard being offered on the new 5er.
