535i with Lite Speed / M Performance Exhaust

My current exhaust set up:

Full LiteSpeed Catback (original mufflers replaced with BMW M Performance Mufflers)

I didn't like the sound of the full Litespeed system. It's loud but not aggressive, which I think holds true for most straight through perforated mufflers, like the Magnaflows.

Most of the tubing inside the M Performance muffler is entirely straight piping, with a ~2 inch section of perforation. I'm guessing behind that there is some fiberglass packing inside, but also different chambers that manipulates the sound.

I found a few Youtube video of 335's with resonator deletes so I figure I would take a chance and try it out.

Pros:
Aggressive sound
Not too loud

Cons:
M Performance Mufflers are overpriced. They're cans. Sure, research and development is expensive, but not enough to merit a sticker price of $1500.

I think it sounds great!

I wasn't fond of the M Performance mufflers at first either. That was also one of the videos that convinced me to pull the trigger on a set.

It sounds good, I am just not willing to pay that price for it.

I know exactly what you mean. The entire lite speed exhaust cost less! I was very reluctant to buy the mufflers but got tired of waiting for a used set.
I wish this was the first set of mufflers I bought. Would of saved me a ton of money along the way.

Needed something that made the inline six sound aggressive but not drone like hell on the highway. Couldn't be happier with these results.

I know you want a drone free set of mufflers. Definitely recommend these. I would think there is almost zero drone if the rest of your system is stock.
(A couple of vendors here offer around $200 off, if you're interested)
