Carbon Black Owners

Have one on order (with Oyster Black Nappa interior) and will report back when I receive it end of March...have always been a Jet Black/Black myself and opted for a change (with some second guessing)...saw one indoors at a dealership on a cloudy day and it looked great.

Your post is similar to what I would say, always done the black/black but saw CF in a showroom, well Jerez Black on a M3 which is close to identical and wife and I thought it was spectacular.

My currently in transit car, was informed by the dealer on Friday it had just left the factory, is black/black...so will post some pictures when i collect it at the beginning of March

I take delivery of my new 550i Carbon Black with Oyster/Black Nappa on Friday. Looking forward to it after seeing all the great pics and comments. I was not really sure how the colour would look, but now I think I will really like it.

It's an awesome color and I love it, but gets swirl marks very easily.

Agreed - carbon black is the best color ever !! BTW - You can avoid all swirl marks on the paint if you only clean and dry with soft microfiber towels. My car has been washed once a week ever since I got it on 12/4/10 - not a single swirl mark. 100% works.

Love to see pics of it. I just traded in my F10 550 (may 2010 build) for this new F10 550, my 1st one was black/black with Anthracite headliner. You will love it and I would order it again if I could get it with the M-sport.

I will post some pics. I will take the shots at the dealer before I have to drive in the snow, it's supposed to be -18c tomorrow. This is my first BMW, currently driving a Nissan Titan, so I think that the 550i will be just a 'bit' more sporty.

It's is a M-Sport, but with x-drive which comes with all-seasons here in Canada. I have been thinking of waiting until the Dinan Wheels come out and see what they are like. I spoke to Dinan last week and their wheels for the 550 are supposed to be out 'soon'. I don't need them until May, so i will wait to make new summer wheel/tire choice then.

I never thought about tires and xdrive, makes sense ... the xdrive wasn't a factor for me and my use.

Finally posting some pics. Been a busy week. Here are some pics I took last week when I picked it up. Not the best shots, when it warms up I will try to get some better ones(with the tinting I did this week). Since I picked it up I have got the Dinan Stage 1 and Window tint. Llumar 35% on the sides and 20% on the rear window.

Oh, Dinan stage 1 ... how do you like that? Is it incredibly noticeable? Are you concerned about your BMW warranty? What is the power gain and cost?
