Wipers will not go full travel after windshield replacement

I had my windshield replaced last week by Safelight and now my wipers stop about 2 inches short of the top of the travel before returning down the windshield. The tech assured me he knew how to work automatic wipers. Is there a calibration I can do to reset the travel or do I need to remove the wiper arms and move them a few teeth over on the mounting stud? Thanks.

I don't think there is a calibration for this. The motor only spin in one direction. The wiper transmission moves the arms up and then back down as one cycle of the motor. I recommend unbolting and move it up a little so it would fully wipe your windshield.

Having safelite touch anything BMW is a mistake. They suck. It's all quantity over quality there. Take it up with insurance if they can't correct it and have a proper shop correct and bill insurance.

Did he know how to put the wipers in the installation mode?

I was able to adjust the arm easily by removing this nut and moving the arm clockwise one tooth. Dude didn't even tighten the nut down.

I feel the same way but I live in a rural town with few options. My closest BMW dealership is over an hour away. I had them mount new tires for me on a slow weekday and ended up sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours. The windshield looks like it's good quality and I was able to adjust the wiper arm.
