What does it cost to have a body shop install an M5 bumper package?
I'm thinking about doing the M5 front end swap on my F10 535 Base model. Aside from the $400 for the front end kit, how much should I expect a body shop to charge to remove my old front bumper, then paint and install the new one?

first you should test fit new bumper before painting it. I had to do significant amount of trimming and cutting (it is F90 M5 retrofit bumper), until it fit well, so that took 2-3hrs (your may require less preparation work).
Good paint shop will charge around $400 for painting, so do the math. I'd say $600 total on the low end, could be more. It is worth going to a good body shop for painting, as a result my bumper looks stock. I have also ordered new brackets for PDC sensors and side cameras which is extra cost. |
