2011 535i with jb4 close to power of a 550i stock?

Is there any comparison here. I'm buying a 535i and like the fuel economy, but wonder will I regret not getting the 550i. If I do a jb4 will it be close to the 550i acceleration wise

Agreed. Fuel economy is great when you take it easy (30 miles per gallon) If you smash on 535 in sports mode you get way less then you would think. (20 miles per gallon) If gas isn't a huge issue or not driving tons of miles I would get the 550.

I had both and no the 535 won't be remotely as fast as a 550. Theres just too big of a difference even if you get full bolt on mods on the 535.

If you baby the 535 you can get decent mpg but if you have a heavy foot the difference between the two isn't as big as you think. I use to average 14mpg on my 535xi with the JB doing mostly local driving and now I am getting 12mpg with my JB 550i.

I thought w/ downpipes, exhaust and JB4 S2 on a 535i it would be closed to a stock 550xi pre-TU, no?

A member dyno'd his 535i with JB4 S2, downpipes, exhaust, and (50/50) 91/100 octane fuel mix and it barely reached 300 rwhp.

Lacster had S2 with catless downpipes, exhaust and he only put down around 300whp. There were a few other cars with the same setup putting down around those numbers. Most not even breaking 300whp which is weaksauce.

Yes for some reason the N55 in the F10 doesn't respond well to the JB at all. Theres maybe 20hp gain and the Dp's don't really do anything either besides stink.

^^ no lol. You are the king of F10 modding.

The JB for the N55 is weaksauce for the F10 barely cracking 300whp with full bolt ons when compared to the N54 on my 335 was making 50whp and wtq more without downpipes!

Haha I agree with you 100%. I had it twice and both times it did nothing for me.

It was almost placebo effect

I believe it has something to do with the F10 because Terry was able to make 414 hp with a 435i w/ stock turbos.

^^ i'll believe it when independent dynos shows up. I always find the numbers posted by Terry to be high and nobody else could get the same results in the real world.

Like the 60hp that the JB4S2 is supposed to give to the F10 535i,

That sucks!!! Did you have a DP? Any feedback on that? I was really looking forward to spending the money on these mods, as I thought they were worthwhile!!

Or wait for the new M3 , I'm actually contemplating the idea of buying the new M4 when it comes out. I already bought the wife an SUV so I don't need a sedan.

Great idea! I am keeping my 650i GC and replacing my M3 vert with a M4 Vert. Short on a wife
