How difficult is a software update on an F10 2010 525d and it worth considering for engine cold start problem?

I saw another post on here were software update fixed the fault with cold start.

i would suggest asking a dealer . there will be a cost but at the same time they may know the resoluton for your issue anyway - which may be something entirely different anyway.

just my take on that.

i think some of the more advanced coders out there may be able to do it but as with any coding, there is an element of risk involved. I would stick with a visit to the dealership along with a stack of cash!
