Sport Package and Tire Wear
I have been told that with larger wheels and sports suspension that tires wear out at under 20,000 miles.
Do tires wear out that quickly with sports package? Assuming what I have been told is true, will this happen with DHP, as well? |

A lot depends on how you drive the car, and how you maintain the tires. Bigger wheels (19" or 20" for example) mean more expense: greater wear, higher vulnerability to damage from curbs and potholes, and higher replacement costs. Although it's admittedly a lighter car, my E92 with sport suspension and 18" wheels got a bit more than 30,000 miles from the OEM set of run-flat tires.

Sport suspension packages usually will come with sport/summer tires, which wear quicker because they have stickier rubber. So I don't think it's the suspension per se, just dependent on what model tire you have. All-season tires will last longer than max performance summer tires in the same size on the same car.
