What Did You Do To Your GT....TODAY?

I bought the Cobra iRadar that works with my iPhone via bluetooth.

Wife had my cordless Escort, and I had to pick up the kiddies from Grandmas. Picked it up from Best Buy for $140 so I was game to see how well it worked.

I'm still playing with it, but used it from Ohio to West Virginia and back and it worked brilliantly. I had to turn it off in Virginia (laws). The coolest thing was being able to look at the map (iPhone) and see where speed traps and red light cameras were and where other users had detected live police locations. When you see trap, you hit a button on iPhone and it let's other users know. It warned me of cops hidden in at least four places where I would have been probably busted. So I'm letting the wife keep the Escort.

Oh, just for the record...the speed limiter (155mph) that the Dinan upgrade removes? It's REALLY does remove it. Trust me on that one!!

Ordered new set of rims and tires. After much internal debate with friends, ended up getting the Foose Legend SS Black wheels and Continental ContiExtreme Contact DWS tires. Cincinnati streets are terrible, so I decided to stay with 20" rims...though I really wanted to go wider (295/25/20) in the back, but decided to stay OEM for now since I'm unsure about fender rub and I have NO intention of rolling the fenders on this car!

Here's what the wheels look like on a Camaro.

How confident are you that the 295/35 will fit?? All the applications I've seen online show 295/25 or 295/30. Are you going to have to get spacers? I genuinely don't know...

Installed....

Loving life. Car rides noticeably smoother with Conts DWS vs. Runflats, with more grip and control in the on/off ramps. This car should come w/ a warning label. Similar to what Top Gear commented on the 542hp M5, the real problem is this -- the Dinan Stage 2 GT (at 502hp) is so deceptively fast, and dispatching detractors going at well over the motorway speeds this easily is so intoxicating, you may as well drive yourself to the highway patrol and hand yourself in!

Hi blkcofy,

Nice car you have! I would recommend you the H&R springs for the GT (I have them myself), then the car will look more complete. The set comes with front sport springs and rear adjustable rods for the air suspension. You can mechanically adjust the ride hight to get the correct look and comfort.

Good luck with the GT tuning!

Robbo,

Did you have a BMW dealer install them? I've read about the H&R springs but wasn't convinced it would be a direct application.

Hi

I did it myself... can't help being a bit interested in mechanical things.

I've had H&R's on numerous cars and never had a bad experience so far. What have you read which makes you a non-believer?
