Greetings all. I took the pics in this thread - glad you like them and thanks for the credits and making the front page .

Just a note for those who are commenting that the car sits high. The side photos where you can see the big gap between sill and pavement were taken from ground level. You can see there's an entrance to an underground parking in the apartment building opposite to where the car was parked. I managed to get to eye/camera level with the road surface to take those pics. In real life you just wouldn't get that kind of perspective unless you were lying down on the road about to get run over.

The car looks absolutely stunning in real life. I ordered exactly that colour combo - notice it has the black shadowline window trim and rear tints. Didn't go for the wheels unfortunately - the roads here are so bad my current 17inchers need balancing every 2 months and those 20s would/will get wrecked quickly. I am seriously thinking of doing the roof in glossy black 3M foil to get the look that a lot of hot Merc C-classes and some M3's have. I'm scheduled for delivery mid May - will post pics of a CLEAN alpine white then

Here's the pic which shows the entrance to the parking on the other side of the road - just above the sunroof of the F10

Welcome to the site and thanks for all your photos!

I believe they are inspiring many a future F10 5-series owner

Blacked out roof would certainly look very sporty When do you expect delivery?

Thanks for the welcome. Expecting early May production and delivery mid to end of May. It looks like it will be one of the 1st 523is - I haven't been able to find a single review of this engine model.

Since there are a lot of 3 series owners on here and the engine is used in that model is there any info on what the difference is between the engine in 523i and 528i and would tuners be able to untap the extra power? On paper these engines look identical but since they're not FI there doesn't seem to be an easy chipping option.

I think after it's run in I'm going to dyno it out of curiosity

Unfortunately the naturally aspirated 523i and 528i engines really don't have much untapped power to squeeze out, compared to the n54 turbo engine.

Do you understand dutch? If so, here's a nice video review of the 523i:

Nope, sorry. I could just about read it but I can't really connect the sounds with the words Did he like it? Is it smooth? Does the 8 speeder compensate for lack of torque? I will be revving this thing like mad for any half decent progress so it had better be like a good old BMW inline 6.

Here's a couple more. If number 3 ain't hot I don't know what is

Funny why the new F10 has high offset?

Highest OEM offset is ET44 = not that much concave wheels in the future.

Where did you find the offset numbers and is there a range? Is ET20 within tolerance?

this does look very nice, these should be standard on the car because the stock wheels are indeed puke
