Copper Plated Wheels

So I recently bought a jet black F10 and have been shopping for the perfect set of wheels. Yesterday I ordered a custom set of 19" copper plated MRR GF6 wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza Runflats and should hopefully have them in the next month or so. I also decided to go with H&R springs along side the rims.

Here is a peek at what is coming soon.

Here they are on a E92 335 that appears to be the only car that has them so I'm sorry in advance for jocking your style.

When I hear of a black car with gold/copper wheels, this it what I think of:

I highly doubt that will be on your mind once I get pictures up hopefully. Guess I could throw the graphics on the hood and get a CB radio if all else fails though.

I think it is going to look hot! I have contemplated similar. Can't wait to see it when you are done.

I'm not exactly sure. I don't see why not being that it is a layer of copper exposed to elements. Doubt I would ever let them get that far but that's the least of my worries with them.

Pictures will definitely be posted the second that they are on my car. Now it's just a waiting game.

That's going to look sick! Wondering what something like that cost?

Wow...just finished watching the video...I think with the car black it's going to set it off!

I will start off saying that it wasn't cheap but I am getting a great deal and I am 100% confident that I am lucky to pay the price that I did. I would throw out a number but I don't want someone to think they are getting ripped off for paying more than myself.

Put it this way... I feel I am getting ripped off more for the run flats than the rims but if you are going to do it right, might as well pay the price.

We've done a few copper plated wheels.. as long as there's a lacquer clear there shouldn't be any major issues.

Just a ballpark figure on what the cost is for a set of 20"? I've searched every link and I got nothing.

OP - I don't usually comment on style because I adhere to the philosophy - 'to each their own', but I really do like this look. You are a pioneer.

Great work! Wheels look awesome

So you wrapped the car too? Looks really good! Satin blue? I have been talking to a local company about the same.......trying to decide on color and justify price to myself.

Looks good but something's not flowing? Maybe if the car was black?

the pictures really don't display the true colors and contrast. It actually looks much better in person but I will say this combination is probably not for everyone.

The wrap color is actually blue aluminum. I have a AC Schnitzer lip that I need to take to the body shop and have permanently attached to the bumper and re-wrap it. That will also eliminate the ugly milk crate style mesh.

No no...I like the color combo...I think it needs to be lowered more. That gap is what I keep staring at Lol! OK...I know now...I think with the aggressive color of the wheels and that awesome blue color I think the non m features of the car is what's making it dull? Probably adding the lip might help? Or even going with a complete mtech exterior swap?
