BMW spares what a shambles
My F11 got rear ended 4 weeks ago took two weeks for the insurance company to admit liability and approve repairs. Parts now have been on order for 2 weeks, we are still missing the tailgate. Nobody can give me any indication as to when it might arrive.
Since discovered the BMW parts system has failed spectacularly with 1200 cars in Germany alone off the road due to lack of Spares. See http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/...96608520130707 mine must be one of the 5% Body shop has 5 BMWs waiting parts. Some as long as 5 weeks waiting for the pedestrian sensor. Have escalated to UK MD who passed it on to Customer Service director who is investigating. I am seriously unimpressed, unlikely I will be buying another BMW at this rate. |

To add insult to injury, I had forgotten about the £9.99 daily 'clocking up' at Enterprise and imagine my surprise when Enterprise took £204 from my credit card! I think BMW should pay this or at least make a gesture as it was their fault and not my dealer who was genuinely frustrated by BMW. How do I send this message to the MD of BMW UK. Do you have a name and email address? |

I am a BMW specialist used dealer and order alot of parts (almost daily)!! Something has happened recently with their parts orders changing delivery slots and I have heard of 3 parts recently that were on back order, one of which is an exhaust manifold for a 4 cylinder 2 litre Z4 which is a 3-4 week wait and is a VERY common failure part.
