Dinan Stage 3 Tune

All I can say is holy shit......Just got Dinan stage 3 tune with custom 3" exhaust and it is just amazing what a difference it has made.....Effecient Dynamics is now working which wasnt in either stage 1 or 2.

Has made a huge difference on the reaction time the car gets up and goes....The car is just awesome now...maybe even a little scary...lol.....I am 100% satisfied with getting this latest tune....a must have...

I'm getting my car back from the dealer tomorrow... Now that I read your review, I'm drooling! They're finishing up the suspension and the exhaust, and we went from Stage 2 to Stage 3. I wasn't thinking I'd feel much difference with the 10 extra HP, but it sounds like that's not the case?

What is the price difference between a 550i+ Dinan Stage 1+2+3 Compare to M5?

Dont get too excited because I have a full mandrel bent 3" exhaust from the downpipes to the stock mufflers with a custom x-pipe which helped considerable while the dinan is just a muffler replacement with custom valves...I would love to hear your opinion though when you get it back...I could be wrong....

The tune seemed to dot the "i"s and cross the "t"s while adding proper modifications to benefit from a less restrictive exhaust.

I think M5 is probably 10G more.

I wonder if people will buy a M5 or a 550i+Dinana full tune.

I went from a 2010 E60 M5 to a 550i xDrive Dinan S3 primarely for xdrive....

If I lived somewhere we didnt get bad weather, i would of went for another M5...

The M5 brings alot more than just speed to the equation...brakes, suspension and a slightly more modified engine....M5 with some Dinan would still blow away a 550i but it will come down to how well the m5 launches off the line which I believe it will pretty good...

The M5 will be more than 10k over the 550. M5 will prob run 110-115k fully loaded

Well...now I'm completely depressed... Oh well. Sounds like you've got an awesome setup!

I dont know if I would be depressed...You still have an awesome car with minimal headaches...I ended up spending like $5000 on three different exhaust setups so I still think you did the right thing and got the dinan setup since all Dinan stuff has been put on a dyno before they release it.

Only reason I did it this way was because there were no great options for an exhaust back when I got my car in May 2011..

You are going to be completly satisfied with your setup...

Plus, it looks like you have a 2011 F10 and X6...How could you be depressed?....lol

That's what I thought. around 100K.
A fully loaded 550+Dinan will be around 95K.

Charges the battery through regenerative braking. The original Dinan flash stopped the indicator from working, but ED continued to function (according to Dinan)

So, if I have a 2011 550i M-Sport with a Dinan Stage 2 programming, upgrading to the stage 3 programming will do little good? Just curious.......

I have the Eisenmann Race exhaust, but that's only an axle-back exhaust.

I think we should wait for jordan to chime in, his setup is pretty close to yours.

Bottom line, you can get the stage 3 update for $200 plus labor. Dinan only charges the difference between the stages......so

S1 - $2999
S2 - $3499 - $500 diference from S1
S3 - $3699 - $200 difference from S2

Totally worth the money....

Can you elaborate on the Dinan Free Flow exhaust? Is this an exhaust system (ie cat back) or just the rear muffflers? Dinan site is not very clear on exactly whats included.
