I'd be reluctant based on the fact I cannot get them to return a couple PM's over the past two months.....

There is no problem.... the open filters suck in way 2 much hot air from engine bay resulting in the car throttling down on power. It has to be a closed filter... im going to test stock box with heat dissipation paint see if it reduces some of the heat inside intakes.

So I shipped the intakes I made to a forum member a few months ago. He was going to work on a shield that went over the top of the engine, he had one fabricated for an Audi previously that worked. I'm not sure if it wasn't successful, or if he hasn't worked on it, but they're out there somewhere.

The results showed a slight increase in horsepower, but inconsistent curves due to the DME's cutting timing as the under hood temperatures began to rise. Even with the hood open it kept losing power. There may be something there, but a lot of work on my part didn't lead to any real evidence that it was worth pursuing any further.

There is barely any room to work on the passenger side of the engine compartment, under the airbox is limited by multiple components that aren't there on the M5. Relocating stuff is not realistic, so routing intake tubing to the front of the car is all but an impossibility on the N63. I fully disassembled the front of the engine compartment, but couldn't come up with a solution. A fabrication shop could make something work, but a very ingenius intake setup will be required.
