I had a switch installed and the techs had no idea about "coding" As such the switch looks pretty but doesn't do anything. Any more information available regarding the coding aspect? Los Angeles based.

FWIW, I installed one in my GT, and it worked, no coding required. Note, the rear fog lights only come on with certain light positions, similar to the way the front fog lights work.

This is weird, why some people need it coded and others not. Mine worked right away.
