Thanks for the tip, I called last night and my car is scheduled to be completed Monday 7/1. Now all I need is to figure out when the ships leave. My sa said it would be here mid to late July but I didn't believe him but it sounds like he may be right.

I'm in the final steps negotiating for a fall ED. I currently have quotes ranging from invoice to invoice+$6k. I will probably end up paying somewhere between invoice and $1k over. It's not worth saving a couple hundred for a sub par sales experience, so I'm weighing each dealership.

Here's the link to the ship schedules. The departure port is Bremerhaven. It takes 2-3 days to get from the plant to the port by rail, then it sits at the port until there's space on a ship heading to your port - in other words, just because your car is at the port, it doesn't mean it will be on the next ship.

Heavy right foot: With you being in FL, call the 1-800 number again and confirm the delivery port (if available at this point) as there are several options for the east coast. SonicEndeavor can pin point it easier being on the west coast. After you figure out the US port, the shipping schedule will make more sense and allow you see what dates are possible. I called this morning and my car (jet black/Ivory White) is waiting to get on rail to the port to ship out. Hopefully around 3-6 days to get to the port. BMW was able to tell me that the US port was CHS POA (Charleston, SC) with an estimated date of 7/27.

Yes. Read post #66 in this thread and that should let you know that i have idea how long its going to hold it up. Others have said it shouldn't take that long. But, even one day delay is going to kill me. I put off buying the 2013 for a year to order the 2014 so my patients are gone!!

Hi DBT, how did you know the 2014 GT has MFID? Is it confirmed? I ordered a 2013 gt 535i when I saw the 14 ordering guide, which does not have the option for MFID. If the 14 GT does have MFID, I will definitely cancel my current order and place a new one for a 2014 GT.

Now, I never looked at the pricing guide for the GT until I read your post and you are correct. It’s not there. I would definitely see if you it’s offered in the configurator at the dealership if it’s top priority for you. At this point, I’m not sure either way so please let me know what you find out. Thank you for your reply! My dealer told me that if it is not in the order guide then it wont be equiped in the car. But I did not lose hope sine 6WA comes standard in MY 13 GT and it does not show up in the order guide, even in standard features. Is it possible that 6WB comes standard in the 2014 GT? If it really does, then it dispels my last hesitation to pay 4k more to get a similarly equiped LCI GT.

I have watched the videos, but it is highly possible that the cars in the video are not US spec since I did not see the front corner reflectors on them.

Can you check with your CA to confirm what he said? My CA is new and for almost everything I asked him he needed to look at the books or ask his manager.

Paying around 4-5k less then that. Honestly my CA was amazing and made it painless as possible, went through the options and ordered away! Will probably be one of the few 6MT 5 series on the East Coast.

When did you go to the dealership and place your order? Just curious because I went and ordered my car July 1st and noticed yesterday they updated their website to "Production begins" which was a lot quicker than I was anticipating.

Getting the car sometime in early august would be awesome, also has anyone ordered anything M-Performance for their LCIs? Not even sure how it works. Is that something you can get added to total car price or do you have to come out of pocket for it?

I went my dealer and placed my order on June 1. Either my dealer was dragging his feet or he didn't have a production slot until week 28. I live in a small town of 200k people and I doubt they sell 12 of these F10s a year. I drove by last week and I counted at least 10 unsold 2013 528i on the lot collecting dust.

Lmao tell me about it I have a 5yr old boy & 2yr old girl, liquids will be to a minimum and have to be clear like water!! NO FOOD!! So I'm taken a risk they would be occupied with the TVs on... Looks like production slot July 9 tomorrow and get end of August. First time building and waiting patiently!
