anyone ordered 535d in the US? share your deals

like the title says, please share your deals.

When my F10 lease is up, I want to jump into a 535d as DD. I want to order a car instead of getting one off the lot.

I just bought a 535d xdrive from Bryan at BMW of Lincoln (Nebraska). A smoking deal with $9k+ off sticker. A $68.85k car at $59k. He is shipping to me for $600 and taking my X3 back on the truck in trade (an expiring lease). I know you want to order and I do not blame you as that was my preference but this kills any order deal you will find.

I can't wait to drive this efficient beast. The best BMW I have ever owned, other than my M Coupe, was the X5d.

I am very happy for you!!!

How do you register and put a plate on the car? Does the dealer do it for you or you do it yourself with paperworks from the dealer?

I just ordered a custom 535d x-drive in the greater Boston area. I was able to get $1500 option allowance, $1000 eco credit, and the EPP discount (through my employer) of $1500. One dealer offered 4% off MSRP right away, but I wanted the invoice price of 7% off MSRP. Playing a couple delaers against each other, I was able to get it down to $500 over invoice, before all the discounts. Final build MSRP was $69.3K, and final sale price was $60.9K.

Also, the dealers were pretty firm initially, but when the end of the month came and they wanted to push out cars, they became more willing to sell a custom ordered car at near zero profit.

As for the registration, yes the dealer handles all of that for you. But they also charge you for it. Ends up being about $500 for all the title/registration/licensing fees.

hyperboost, would you consider European Delivery? Then you get invoice price with no negotiation and can do a fully custom build. Definitely seems appealing to me, but I didn't take the plunge this time around.
