JB4 stage 2 VS COBB AP V3 ?

I am new to the BMW scene and I would like to start modifying my f10 2014. My question is what are the differences between the COBB AP V3 and the JB4 stage 2? I did some searching and found out that Cobb is for the 335 n55, will it also work on the 535 n55 motor or would that be just a hope and dream without confirmation.

Also what is the best place/ vendor price wise to buy mods.

Sorry if this was already discussed.

Thanks in advance guys .

Cobb does NOT work on any F series cars yet, meaning 2012 + 3 series sedans, 435i's and all 2011+ 5 series.

JB4 is really your only fair option.

Unfortunately there is not a HUGE market for the F10s, so the options for everything are slim pickings. Companies such as BMS & Evolution Racerwerks are one of the few designing things such as intakes, charge pipes, and tunes for our cars.

Exhaust is a little bit of a different story as there a good handful of companies that makes exhaust for the F10.

Well then there is also the AFE intake with the module I believe scorcher (not sure what that does though)..

So if I was to go with the JB4 stage 2 just to squeeze that extra performance out of the chip do I have to have any specific mods for the stage 2 to function properly? Because an intake,JB4, and downpipe were my first handful of mods that i would like to get after I break the car in.

Also, will a downpipe give me an error code? Or throw on the CEL? Or is there a work around for that as well now or a specific brand for down pipes that sticks out from the rest quality wise?

I have the AFE Scorcher and am very satisfied. The max added HP I get is about 40 according the AFE data and that's enough for me. Main think is that I can feel the scorcher usually at 3000rpm, plus was told is the safest on the market. I know that there is lots of guys on this forum that like more then scorcher has to offer and go with JB and dinan, not me. My common sense tells me that a 300HP car to be pushed to 400 and beyond is too much...

Tell that to all the N54s still running around pushing well over 400hp.

Just curious, how is the scorcher the safest on the market? Any founding data to support the claim?

E46 M3'S are pushing over 800hp and a lot of n54s out there are already in the 700hp mark. 100 extra hp is nothing.....

Yes, for racing. However I am not racing my n55 only going to work and back ..... around the city, that's all. 100 HP for me its a big deal. Just my opinion
