Go Venetian Beige! Everyone is going for Oyster/Black and in a year or so it will be sooooo yesterday whilst Venetan Beige is classic and tasteful. Cinnamon is an acquired taste although it seems popular in the US but then there's no accounting for our American cousins' taste

According to the company producing Xirallic, EMD Chemicals, "Xirallic® combines lively sparkle with shimmer which has never been achieved before. The crystal effect pigments from EMD Chemicals create an unexpected deep luster and extraordinary sparkle in coatings. Their high color intensity and purity are impressive. Direct light – such as from the sun – shows off their unparalleled brilliance to the full." (http://www.emd-performance-materials...gh_chroma.html) |

Sorry to bump an old thread. I have been a fan of SG but always thought it was an individual paint, but based from the UK configurator, it's standard issue. Can someone clarify if this is readily available to the US market (through BMW individual), and in Xirallic?

isn't it called dark graphite in the US?
Paint code is B90 (post Japanese tsunami) or A90 prior to that or if plant is back on line. Either way, those are sophisto grey or dark graphite depending upon where you are. I've a new 7 series catalog and the colour is labelled as A90 so it would suggest the plant in Japan is back on line? |

My opinion: a better comparison between Imperial Blue is with Carbon Black. Think Carbon Black has a better darker tone and overall color to it.
Comparing it to Sophisto Grey is apples vs. oranges. People will have their own personal preference. I prefer darker coloured cars (more aggressive), so my preference is SG. |
