Subwoofer for trunk?

I installed bavsound ghost under seat subwoofers a few months ago and honestly not impressed at all. I want to add at least a small 10inch woofer in the drunk to add some depth.

Any suggestions on a subwoofer setup or a link to someone that has done it? I understand that its complicated wiring an amp to the factory setup.

I did! But I did it with a bimmertech amp, it have a sub out!

assuming that you have the 676 hifi & not planning on getting a bimmertech amp, i would...
- check with technic to see if he has a hifi trunk sub harness
- get a audiocontrol lc2ib
- amplifier & subwoofer of your choice

This is what you will need. Plug and Play to your factory amp and it provides you with the remote and RCA out. Can;t get any easier then this.

^^^+1 I had the Technic cable in my previous E60s and they worked perfectly. I will be getting another one for my F10 so that I can install the 12" JL Audio sub with the Audiobahn amp I already have from my previous car.

For my setup next year or sooner I'll also be running Technic's PnP but for the 8 ch configuration so I can run the JLXD800/8v2

And probably something like a loaded sub box for now as my car sits really low and building a custom sub enclosure is really gonna add some weight in the back so I can't do that!

Ordered. Do I still need the line audio controller? or do I just connect this directly to the amp?

From my expirence no. All I did was unplug the wiring harness from the factory amp and added technic's harness inbetween both connection. From that I just added my own amp and sub combo. I didn't add anything else.

I ran into an issue. the harness I ordered came yesterday and it doesn't fit. I went back to the internet and now I cant seem to figure out which system I have. When I do the vin check, it shows me I have the 677 system, and on technics website he doesn't have that as an option.

I don't know what to do. I cant even find a diagram on the amp or any information on it. Thought id get a line converter and wire it myself. any ideas?

Have you contacted Technic to see if they can exchange for the correct harness if they have it?

That doesn't make sense as you have to select your stereo system on his website which than shows the listed products? Unless you chose the wrong system

You need to get Technic's HK harness.

^^^That's the same sub I have, except I have the 12" powered by a 600W Audiobahn amp. Technic harnesses make it soooooooo easy to install

Yup you need the HK/L7 677 harness it's a totally separate option on his website.

Just installed my harness and system this past weekend. I went ahead and cut out the ski port, added the Alpine MRP-M1000 amp and JL 12W7. I have constant headaches now

The ski port is a must. The bass sounds super clean and deep. I'll try to get pic's on my lunch break

Dude thats AWESOME! Is the box customized to the trunk or did you use a regular box like the picture I posted on top? and did you also upgrade your speakers inside?

I have stock HIFI speakers, and a regular super bass probox exactly like below. Perfect for my setup.
