What are the exact specs of the M5 wheels?
Are they 9x20 and 10x20 and ET?

Yes on the widths and both have an ET of 34. Probably an ET of 38 or 40 would probably give me enough clearance to be able to tuck in the 295's within the fenders.

Thanks!
And yes it would. As stated by me earlier in this thread the car looks awesome!
Mine will arrive in 3-4 weeks and I'm so glad i changed it to Jet Black!

I like your rims too. In terms of the difference of a few millimetres, is it possible to get the inside hub of the wheel machined given that it's only a small amount? That'll give you perfect tyre fitment.
I never really thought of that - milling a few mm's off the back of the hub of the rear wheels. I wonder if there's enough meat back there to do that safely or if I'll run into clearance issues like hitting the calipers?

I'll investigate this further - Have you or do you know of anyone who has done this to their M5 wheels? I'd really like to know if it's doable, I really like the way the 295's look back there.

I know the fronts are listed as ET34, but I've seen pics of the inside of the spokes where the offset is stamped, and it said IS32 (IS=ET).

According to BMW, eBay, and all the wheel refurbishing websites I went to, they all stated the front and rears both have an ET of 34. I couldn't tell on my rears since the wheel had been reconditioned and the markings were covered up with either paint or clear. The fronts weren't covered as much and I could see the 34's stamped on those.

I see what you mean, are you sure that's not a wheel from a 6 series - I know those offsets are completely different than the 5 series.

Here's a link for an outfit in Newbury, GB that sells OEM M5 wheels. Those are listed with ET's of 34.

Yes, I know they're listed as ET34, that's why that pic is so confusing.

The M6 343 wheels are ET31 F and ET19 R.

I would think there is plenty of meat in the wheel hub itself to shave a few (2-4) millimetres off it but I would doublecheck if you were talking 5 to 10 mm's. In terms of clearing the calipers perhaps measure it down there to see what clearance you do have at the moment then you'll know what you've got to play with before taking it to a reputable shop to ask the pro's as these guys will advise you if it's do'able.

Those wheels simply can't be beat on an F10 nor F30 IMHO. Gorgeous.

Thanks all for the kind words.

I pulled one of the rear wheels off and looked to see if there was enough meat to mill off a few millimeters so I could run 295's back there. Unfortunately it doesn't look like there's enough meat there that I would feel comfortable removing so I could fit a larger tire under the fender.
