Hey guys resurrecting this thread.

Getting a turbo coolant pump error and a turbo coolant pump return line error. I already have changed the hoses like what you guys have on your photos.

There is a recall/service bulletin to change the lines and the auxiliary coolant pump. Have you guys had this done?

Recall # is 11V-521 Service Bulletin 11 08 11. By the way, these pump failures does not illuminate your CEL.

Dadysev, what size hose did you use? It almost looks as if the OEM hose is tapered?

3/8 fits snuggly. 1/2 is too big on the turbo coolant return pipe and will leak.

I just bought the silicone hose highlighted earlier. Did you just cut off the OEM clamps? Did much coolant come out?

Is this for the n63 550i, and what year?

Any symptoms you received when they failed ?

# 17127576363 is the "left" side "y" fitting and hoses. Does anyone have the part # for the right "y" fitting and hoses?

There is only one 'Y'. Check these:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=17_0490

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=17_0920

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=17_0922

Which one do you mean?

You are looking at the turbo coolant lines. The one that has plastic (17127576363 ) is deep down inside, right in front of the turbo actuators (the silver disk things). It sends coolant to the engine. It is a huge pain to replace.

The top ones are easy to get to and easy to replace, or just patch up where they start to decay.

I didn't get a left one, but here are all the part numbers:

Now i get it! thanks for taking the time to clarify. My top ones are in good shape showing the tiniest bit of crust but no active leaking. I suspect the lower Y connector/hoses under driver turbo are the ones leaking. Figures. I guess I ll pop the turbo intake hose to get a better view and then decide if I go the brass "T" repair or replace the entire hose/fitting assembly. Not sure I am up for alternator/fan/cowl removal to gain access....

Have you guys noticed burning smells? When the coolant burns by the turbo i noticed its not the typical smell. I'm guessing because of the increased heat. It almost smells like a toxic plastic burning.

The Tee is 1/2" line and the metal line going to the turbos is 3/8". I could not get the 3/8" to work so just made due with 1/2".

Well for me thats the coolant bubbling in the valley of the motor. Mostly likely caused from leaky coolant from the turbo lines.
