Time to move on....

So I've had my 535d M Sport for coming up to 3 years and it's time for a change. Car is being VT'd due to the hideous depreciation it's suffered since the launch of the new model!

Picking up an Audi S5 Coupe next Saturday. Wanted something different this time from the usual Saloon's that I've had before.

Am going to be listing the M Performance Carbon Fibre interior trim kit once I've removed it from the car and also a set of 6 series 373M wheels in anthracite.

Looking for £600 for the carbon trim and £1300 for the wheels (4 nearly new Dunlop RF's and 2 Vredestein rears, staggered set up).

Images of the trim and wheels on the car attached.

And the new car just cos I like it!

Any interest in the bits, message me.

The S5 looks nice, what's the ride comfort like on the 20" wheels?

Have the wheels got TPMS sensors fitted and are the wheels damaged at all?

Questions questions

Whe are you based?

Comfort is surprisingly good. Obviously due to the RFT's the standard 19's have a relatively hard ride anyway. moving to the 20's didn't make any real difference in my opinion.

Wheels have TPMS sensors fitted so should be a straight swap with no issues.

One of the front wheels has a small (about 15mm) graze on the outer rim, but other than this they are in great condition.

I'm based in Telford, Shropshire.

Sorry, John,

Yes, the interior is the genuine £2000 M Performance trim.

£600 is an absolute steal for someone it's work at least £1000 all day long.

Have been watching the wheels on EBay, good deal for someone.

Any luck with the interior?

How do you know when you're at your VT point? Had my AUC 535D a year, at the time it had already lost £27k in depreciation when I picked it up so thought that it wouldn't lose much more, how wrong was I! I am about 5k negative and it drops faster than I can pay it off!

It shouldn't matter if you go to the end of the PCP however if you want out early then I think you are screwed.

Diesel cars have taken a kicking, BMWs have also been hit due to the huge discounts still available and the G30 has also not helped.

I bought my car with a 30% discount and plan to keep for years to come.

As a guide to make you feel better

RRP was £54K
Paid New £37K
Retail Price £30K ish
Trade Offer £22K

Car is 14 months old with 9K on the clock

I would be mad to sell as the car is worth a lot more well it would be if the arse had not fallen out of the market.

You can get a £90K RRP F10 M5 with about 2,000 miles on the clock for £47K and only 16 months old, that's the real sickener

All of us with fantastic spec, diesel, low mileage and immaculate three year old 5's are in the same boat.
Best best is to ride it out for a few years. That's what I am doing with my three year old 535D MSport loaded with options. I'd be paying a fortune to get something "new" that would be inferior, just to have a later build date.

Took mine in to BMW for major service (on service pack, 37000 on the clock). Got chatting to mechanic that I was considering replacing it. He said he thought I was mad, car is superb condition, low mileage and having to spend a fortune just for a "newer" one that woudl be inferior in his view is crazy he thought. Id be looking at having to find £30000 and my car on top to get a newer one of the same spec.
So I am keeping it for at least another two years. I have a Z4 35is for thrills.

Exactly this.

To spend £30k for a newer version of pretty much the same this is crazy.

...especialy when that £30000 will immediatly be reduced in value by £10000 as soon as you drive it away.

So you have a car in execllent condition worth £20000.
But you want a newer one.
Hand in your old car+£30000

Your £30000 is now immediatly worth £20000 (maybe less) and you are on top of the deprecioation curve again.

In two years you will be back to Square 1 and lost £15000 per year. When you had a great car in ther first place?

..no thanks.
