Is there a difference on the boost targets on comfort/sports and dsc off? Just curious....

I am pretty sure I had traction control in dynamic. Which column of readings do you look at for throttle closures?

Turn DSC completely off. Not dynamic. Dynamic is kinda like a babysitter keeping an eye on u. It's still semi-on

Mine doesn't have the feature to completely turn it off. Is there a way to fully disable dsc?

You just need to hold it down for like 6 seconds

I finally figured out how to turn off T.C. Does leaving in Dynamic messes up the log?

Two months on my MHD Stage 1. Couldn't be happier... Smooth response but noticeably peppier car.

I have the m-performance muffler, so a slight 0.3 sec burble was a nice addition.

I recommend keeping the cold start revs stock. My manual car stalled several times, this is the only thing that I changed when I retuned.

Haven't logged anything yet, no seeming issues.

Questions:

1/ did you get your burble after turning burble on? Or was it there without turning on the burble? If you specifically turned it on, what were the tuning settings you used for nice-but-not-stupid with M PE?

2/ cold start revs - one of the features I'm interested in (since I have M PE too) is turning off the cold start catalytic light off. But you mentioned "cold start revs". Are these separate features? To my knowledge, the option was simply to disable the timing/waste gate operation that wakes my neighbourhood with M PE on the car and shouldn't change the revs in any way. Just looking for some clarification here - if it just lowers revs, that's of no interest to me. Or are there separate options for revs versus light off?

Woah, I just saw that you're in Oakville too. Are you part of BMWTN by any chance?

I've got a 2007 FBO 335i and will be picking up my 2011 535i xDrive this week, so it's nice to know other local people are looking into tuning too!

The burble is more of a "pop pop" on throttle closing. I haven't tried "MOAR" as I prefer a light pop pop, and yes I have M PE.

I tried the option (it is hard to miss, it is one of the 3 or 4 at the end, along with burble duration) for quieting cold starts. It certainly does that but makes the MT car prone to stalling (repeatably). So I reflashed with that single option back to stock. Reflash was significantly faster, only a few minutes.

Do I need to examine logs when I have no knocks/pings, no drivability issues or flutter when pulling and no CEL? What actions would I take? I'm not a tuning expert. If it had noticeable issues, I would start taking some steps, get data, do research and would likely end up going to a professional.

I'm not driving this car to within a day of its life. Having had plenty of far sportier cars, the f10 is a relaxed cruiser, just with some pep when needed. So far, for me, the product does what it advertises on the box (I mean the app icon). The only footnote to that, which I pointed out, was that the cold start mod made it easy to stall a 6MT. I reversed that.

You guys all talking about timing issues I can almost guarantee you its from fueling. You all seem to be forgetting this is an OTS map not a custom map for your car so there will be issues for some people. I'll tell you like I always tell people across all platforms of cars, OTS maps are cool temporarily but when you can afford to get a custom tune, then do it.

My stock F10 535i Auto w/Pwg was 6.1 sec 0-60mph and then a 5.6sec with the MHD stage 1 remap. Both runs without Launch control.
I have since upgraded to a Stage 2 map with Launch control activated and improved to a 4.8 sec 0-60mph.
Next is a custom map....

Which app is that? I finally placed an order for the NGK spark plugs. Hopefullly they are answer to my issues. Didn't you also have a Mission Tuning tune?

You would need to check your local area but VF Engineering does custom dyno tuning on all bmw models here in Cali.
