Can you elaborate on the noisy trim?

So far my 520d has been good.

Sure yes pressing all the trim areas and door panels they all used to creak pressing knee against the gear areas, the areas around the vents, the dash board etc.

Over time if not fixed these will creak when driving like mad.

I have a 5/12 build F11, no creaks from the interior.
Only thing I have found is that the passenger seatback bolster is rubbing a little against the center console and making a slight creak if the seat is adjusted in a special way and no one is in it. I have the comfort seats with adjustable side bolsters but I have no intention on taking this to the dealer as it can be removed by re-adjusting the seat.

I just don't think the general car buying public would bring there car back to service for the same issues bmw owners do.

So, the survey is biased in that bmw drivers are 10x more sensitive.

2011 535i MSport, October 2010 build (one of the earliest M Sports) No pulling to the right, battery drain, or any of the other issues many have complained of in early build F10's. Only warranty issue was a few buttons on the dashboard were fading/peeling. BMW replaced them under warranty. Otherwise the car has 35k miles now and has been great.

2012 550i M-Sport

Fuel injector/sensor issue, heard is pretty common, fixed under warranty and totally changed the car. Had no idea what "limp mode" was until I drove it as it was intended. Same-day service, in and out. Everything else has been flawless except my driver's seat creaks a little bit when I really push the side bolsters/supports to the max. Prob just means I should lose a few lbs though ;o Goes away when I put them in a more "normal" position.

2013 BMW 550i (6-speed)

Transmission slipped out of first gear several times. The techs found bits of metal in the transmission fluid. Entire transmission replaced under warranty (took nearly 3 months to get the new tranny delivered--not many 6 speeds were produced!)

Driver side door wouldn't close on one occasion--the latch was stuck in the closed position. Latch replaced under warranty.

Totally agree mate.

Two points.

1. BMW taught us the level of quality to expect.

2. Other car buyers aren't paying the equivalent of a two bed flat mortgage with no deposit to drive one
