Sticky Center Console Buttons

Hey I was wondering if anyone knows an easy way to clean up my center console buttons (iDrive and Shifter Surround buttons).

I just got my 535i, and the buttons are kind of sticky, and it just bothers me. Still totally functional, but would like to have them smoothed out. Any ideas?

Stoners Invisible Glass cleaner and a soft detail brush - then just wipe clean. If you have time, remove the center console trim to clean around the tight edges of those areas where I'm sure plenty of nastiness has built-up between the crevices.

serious note if it got into the cracks and what not i would completely take the console apart and clean everything out. nothing to abrasive...even mild soap and water will do just to get whatever crap residue the last owner left. but i know what you mean. if there's slight scratches to the wood trim you could probably take a light buff to it

Do you know of a guide to dismantle the console? I've never done it before

But it sounds like you will want to proceed with caution.
