Help with Color Selection

550xi is on order and still awaiting production. I'm having doubts on the color selection. I have to go with a Black Dakota interior due to my line of work. What is your preference for the F10 with M Sport & 19" 351M Wheels? Its between Silver Gray & Graphite / Sophisto Metallic.

the sophisto gray has a purpleish/brown hue to it when you see it in person. I liked it in photos, but not so much in real world.

I am lookong at the Alpine White...

Mine is Sophisto/Black Dakota. I think the Sophisto Grey looks amazing in sunlight.

Both look good. Although the darker color looks cooler, I voted for Space Gray for one very specific reason. It hides dust and dirt very well. I have a dark metallic gray car right now, it's a b*%^h to keep clean.
"Who cares get it washed" you say? You have to live with it everyday. It gets old, and I'm getting too old to deal. I need less work not more.

Are you certain about the purple/brown hue? I understand this was a concern with a different dark gray paint that has been offered in previous years. Graphite Metallic is a new color for this year and I have heard that it does not have the same effect.

I don't have any pics that really capture the Sophisto paint. You really have to see it in person to understand. Even when driving, you see the different hues reflected on the lip of the hood.
I don't really see any brown hues at all. More green and purple to my eye.

I have an F10 with the graphite metallic with dark wood and all black seats with the standard grey headliner. The only change I might make is to light wood to give the interior a little more contrast.

My 07 was grey so I wanted a change. Before the 07 I had a white exterior with tan interior. The tan interior was hard to keep clean.

I do wash the graphite metallic more often than I did the grey, usually every two weeks.

That's about as good a representation as you'll find in a still picture. You can see some of the colors in the flake. You really have to walk around the vehicle in the sun to appreciate all the color variations in it.

I think either color would look great. I'm curious why your job requires a black interior? Do you work in a coal mine?

Mine is Space grey/brown. And I highly recommend it. Its not a color to become dirty on the other hand its not dark as black. Any how its your taste.

Lol. No but I am often walking through cable manufacturing plants that are filled with grease and dirt.
