(old news) Toyota Land Cruiser discontinued in 2021!

My mate put in an order and have been waiting almost 2 years for his. Now I realise why

Rumor has it that Lexus will take over the production, probably jack up the price

Real old news! 300 series are selling elsewhere, just not under a Toyota badge here in the States. Lexus for us.

We really enjoy ours. We have both an 80 series and 200. Bomb proof.

My 35 year old, 60 series is still going strong. Land Cruisers are just a different animal.

My 80 is ten years younger, but I'm always impressed with what it can do with so little. I've taken it some wild places and never fear if it's going to crank up.

The 200 is a mom mobile full of Goldfish and diapers. Just re-installed the infant car seat and anticipate bringing a new one home any day now. 200 has been an absolute staple for our family and a part of it all the same. I very much doubt it will ever leave the family. Such peace of mind knowing the family has a low chance of being left on the side of the road.

Great choice! How are you liking the new powertrain?

Love it! Very smooth, has that refined sound you can only get from at least six diesel cylinders, and can get just under 10L/100km (about 24mpg) on a high-speed motorway cruise loaded up with gear.

Having owned both, what had you unload the 60/62 in favor for the 80? I've always had a soft spot for the 60s and wouldn't mind adding one some day.

And just because...

Needed something more comfy for the family to go wheeling. 80 is significantly more refined and was easier to find in good condition.
