is it reasonable to think you can get into a 528x drive with sunroof and navigation for under 500 a month? 0 down 36 months 12k miles a year? Is it more like mid 5s?

Build one lightly loaded with the options you want and take a look.

Just be careful because you are the kind of customer dealers prey upon.

Dealers make 2x+ margins on used cars. They will get your hopes up on a new car and then pull the rug out because the numbers are too far apart.

Finally, they will rebuild you back up and point you to a piece of crap CPO that magically fits your budget to the penny.

CPO can be a risk.

Make your first decision, before doing anything, as to whether you want new or used and stick by it.

You might want to pursue a smaller f30. All BMW's are great cars.

Lol, this is so true. I used to sell toyotas and when people came in to lease land cruisers we'd have them going home in a used 4runner with a smile in their faces.
