Doesn't the LCI already have LED interior bulbs?

No, they're the 'warm white' halogens I believe in the overhead courtesy lights.
Door handles etc are LED but not the cabin ones. Just upgraded all the interior lights in my LR discovery and it got me thinking. |

I prefer a soft-white for the interior of a "luxury" car. With bright white LED interior lights it resembles either a kitchen or a Vauxhall Corsa - neither of which is a good look IMO...

I know what you mean Ian, just wanted something to match the door and handles.
Not really a fan of the 'warm white', a little too cream for me, but I know what you mean about it being "luxury" |

Since they used clear lense on F10 so the light output of normal bulbs are adequte. However if you can find 'warm white' then I would like to have as well. Would you say that OEM number plate lights are 'warm white'?

I changed out all inferior lights on my F10 LCI with the BMW ones from the dealer.
The set of 10 will do the interior and under the four doors. Boot space is a separate LED. The vanity mirrors can't be had from BMW, so I got some from eBay. Glove box is an anomaly though, just need an extra w5w type lamp. Easy DIY job. Set of 10 LEDs was £84 and boot space led was £30. Vanity mirrors off eBay were about £25. All now nice and white, much better than dull yellow. |
