Comparisons between the 2012, 2013 and 2014 550xi M-Sport models
I'm nearing the end (August) of my F30 335i M-sport lease and am considering all my options, one being a gently used CPO F10 550xi M-Sport. I've done some searching, but have not been able to 100% confirm a couple questions I have.
1) I want to avoid the original N63 motor and ensure I get the newer N63TU. Looking at wikipedia it appears the N63TU came out with the 2012 F10. Is it true that all 2012 and newer F10 550xi's come with the newer N63TU motor? 2) Based on my research the LCI refresh for the F10 went into effect with the 2014 model year. I have not been able to find a thread that thoroughly compares the pre LCI and post LCI models with all of the changes made to the LCI. Could someone please point me to a thread, or summarize for me the LCI changes that were made? I'd like to go with a 2014 550xi, but the choices are very limited. There are a lot of 2012 and 2013 550xi M-Sports available so it would be great to understand any changes that took place between the 2012 and 2013 model years, as well as a comparison of the pre and post LCI features. Thanks!
