Whats included in 1st Service?

I've got my 2014 active hybrid 5 booked in for its first service on Friday.

its all included with the service pack, so what gets done on the 1st service?

car is 2 years old as was built September 2013.

should I be asking for anything additional as part of the service pack.?

I am going to ask to see if they can increase the ambient light intensity, as its pretty low.

The only way to increase the Ambient light is to turn it up yourself using the control to the right of the steering wheel.. It will however mean that the other instruments run at a very high brightness level.

This is a common complaint unfortunately.

It's up all the way and still not bright enough. I'm sure you can code it higher.

Few folks in this forum went for the option to change the lights behind them for LED or some stronger one’s, I am not sure codding can get you what you looking for.

Should be oil service and pollen filter change. Brake fluid was 2-years, but changed to 3-years, not sure where you fit for that part of the service regime.

Whether the AH5 has any more attention, no idea.

Coding can set the ambient lighting to be always at a higher value and the remaining instrument panel at a lower setting.

The main issue is that ambient lighting set at 100% is bright (maybe not super bright, but good enough) also causes the instrument cluster to be at 100% and this is a real pain. What most people wish is the ambient light to be brighter than the rest of the cluster.

With coding, you can set the ambient lighting to say 80% minimum, so that even when you decrease the brightness using the knob, the cluster dims down but the ambient lighting stays at 80% (or whatever value you code).

Thought I read that somewhere.
Thanks.

Good point, it is one way on making the light on the strong side, the inside trim can also have an effect on the brightness, my one is black hence probably not as good as to other lighter trims.
