F10 550I Active Sound
I just got a 2015 550I and although the vehicle is not intended to be sporty as the M5, for a V8 it is very quiet. Someone even asked me if it was a hybrid because he could hear the engine inside the car.
Could the Active Sound that is used on the M5's be somehow activated? |

To enable this feature, the Control unit ASD needs to be installed and programmed: http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...=65&fg=25&hl=7 Only the particular models are factory made with that thing: http://realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do?p...=on&showeur=on
Many people believe this is a stupid cheat, and there are much better and true method how to improve the sound together with car performance: sport catted or catless downpipe and a good aftermarket exhaust. |

I've read/heard taking the "blanket" off under the hood helps get more sound from the engine, but not sure if that's true or not...
