anyone having problems with the remote not detected

I keep finding forum threads with the keyfob not being detected and no answers. My car has been off and on not reading the key inside or out side the car. Looking at a few google searches and I believe that this is a problem ;with the diversity antenna. Look like a pain to replace.
I have had dealership look at this and they could tell me what was wrong.
Has anyone replaced this antenna and know how to recode?

I have these same problems with my f10 and have also read many threads without finding a clear solution. Anyone resolve this and shed some light?
