High pitch noise

I sometimes have this very high pitched noise coming from my car and am wondering if anyone else experiences this and knows that it is.

It's a new 535d, deliverd on januari 2012. It has 7.500 km on it at this moment.

Since it only produces the sounds on very specific times I will explain here.

It only produces the sound after I have driven 20 km. or more then park it and return to the car 30 mins or an hour (engine still needs to be warm) and drive off. Then it only does it when I drive 30 km/h+. It goes away when I reach 100 km/h and returns again if I go slower. It will stay away completly after a 15 minute drive or so.
Strange enough it never ever produces the sound if my car has been started the first time that day, not even if I drive it for an hour or longer. It needs to be parked for 30 mins and I need to drive off again. I have never noticed it either if I only park it for 5 minutes or so.

The noise it selfs sounds electronicly and its pitch is so high that it overrules my radio on almost every volume. Dont get me wrong, its not as loud as a radio but since its so high pitched it just overrules. The type of sounds makes it also impossible to say where its coming from, I am not even sure if it's exterieur or interieur.

I havent been to BMW yet since I didnt have the time yet and I have to drive for an hour or so then wait for 30 mins and let them drive with me. Then again there is a chance that it wont do it at that time, I guess it makes the sounds 60 or 70% of the times when I follow the procedure I discribed.

Searched on these forums if anyone had something like this but couldnt find it so I made this thread, I just hope someone has had something similar or knows thats wrong before I take it to BMW.

whistling noise

Just some advice, I had a very transitory noise whistling noise that was hard to reproduce in my brand new car, but worse when the air vents were open (2012 M3), and worse at high speeds. Occasionally it would come at lower speeds as well.

It took a lot of persistent debugging by the lead technician at the BMW shop, and complaining at my end, but he was able to localize it to the insulation in the cowl (sp?) undeneath the wipers.

Good luck!

Might be electronic. Some electronic devices emit high frequencies at times. Or even interference with a capstan motor being picked up and amplified.....

Just my experience...

It's so difficult to assess, but here is a thought: turn any phones off (Bluetooth off) and take out CD's or any USB sticks and MP3 players... see if that makes difference.

Do this with radio ON and OFF and see if any difference
