Anyone see the 2015 spec and pricing yet? The F30 guys say that the specs and pricing for the F30/F32 were released today so the F10 shouldn't be far behind.

As a simple rule of thumb, I see a good lease deal as one that is 1/100 the cost of the car in each monthly payment. So if you buy a $50k car, a payment of $500 per month is good. If you can get even lower than that without having to put a big down payment down, then you're really ahead of the game.

I posted a separate thread tonight that breaks out the details of a lease payment and includes a link to a dynamic spreadsheet in which you can plug in the specific numbers of your lease deal and see the resulting payment. Check out that other post for a much more detailed explanation.

535xi Lease - Any good?

Hi All -

Trying to determine whether I'm getting a good deal. Here are the details:

2014 535xi Black Metallic with Black Dakota Leather, Cold Weather- Premium Pkg-Rear camera and Park distance control.

36 month lease at 15000 miles per year with multiple security deposits ($5250).

MSRP: $62,475
SOLD AT: $57,475
MF: .00101
residual: 59% ($36,860.25)

Payment is $729 with Pa tax and $7,235.72 due at sign in.

Appreciate any insight!

Thanks

Using this lease calculator, I'm getting a way cheaper monthly price.

Seems like you're getting a great sale price from some good negotiating, but the down payment is enormous.

@digitalnoah - Thanks for the info. The $5,250 in MSD is included in the $7,235.72 due at sign in. I'm using this to get the MF down. I believe I get the MSD back at lease end.

Would I be better off using these $$ for cap reduction? Other suggestions?

Thanks!

Oh my bad, I'd didn't realize you were talking a refundable deposit. In that case, I actually think you have a good deal going there. You negotiated a great discount off MSRP, and the deposit, although a lot to shell out up front, is giving you a better finance rate.

I am in Boston and want to have someone take over my lease:

2014 535i xdrive MSport in Space Gray with prem, cold weather, tech, driv asst, HK sound.

Original payment of $749/mo plus tax, BUT giving $2k incentive, so effective payment is around $675.

$1200 due at transfer to cover security deposit.

I would look at some lease take overs.. There are better deals on the forum from multiple members.
