My Morr 8.2
Hi all, after 8 months of waiting, i finally received and installed my morr v8.2 from Jorge a week ago. I have a few problems and would like to seek for some advises.
First the back wheels, I found out that the tyres' edges are slightly shorter than the rim's edges (like 1-2cm) and they just look awkward. The front wheels are fine. My back tyres are 285/30, michelin PSS (recommanded by Jorge) and it should cover the rims' widths perfectly right? Did Morr overdone the width of the back wheels? Will there be any negative effect? Now the front wheels, the tyes sizes are 245/35. I found that the wheels are out 1-2cm from the fenders. My technician said the ET of the wheels might be overdone, and hope the H&R springs might able to settle a bit after 500km. Is this true? Any ideas of how to solve these problems? Sorry for crappy iphone pics thanks alot |

Waiting 8 months for a set of wheels are unacceptable, Moor need to step up.
You might have the "K1" Ferrari speced PSS tires. Take a look at this thread http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=682188

Looking at the pics i think i could spot the "K1" marking on the rear tire which would cause that stretch look on your wheel. 20x10 or 20x10.5?
Morr didn't over do the wheels. You just chose the wrong version tire. For some reason Michelin decided to make two version of the same tire/size. Alan

I purchased Nitto Invos for my 9 x 20 and 10 x 20 HRE rims and they look awesome; there is no protruding wheel lip.
I also run the Invos on my Viper and like them! You definitely have some type of fittament issue. If you have a 10.5" rim maybe this contributes to the matter. The Tires do not look like they fit the rims unless the rims were built to the wrong offset, etc. but even then they may not look like your photos. As to the MPSS claims of 30k mi. on those tires--good luck! I have never had a set of rear high performance tires (or ANY tires) which lasted 30mi.! (And no, I do not light the tires up!) |

thanks for advise guys. The rims at the back are 10 x 20' and the tires are brand new (the heavy rain in HK last week made them all muddy). Since I didn't know much about tires, I just listened to what Jorge told me to get and didn't think he would give me the wrong type.
How weird is that Michelin made 2 version of the same tires, and i didn't notice until remmib post it. Well, I guess basically there's nothing I can do now. I will make sure I'll get the correct version after finished these ones. |

I would recommend you to measure the width of the rim, and see if it is really 20 x 10.
It doesn't look like a "little off" to me, it looks like 285 tires on 20 x 12. I would not recommend you to drive with the wrong size tire/wheel. It is not safe. |

Like Remmib already said look at my post here - http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=682188
Its his rear tires, not the wheel. I had both version of the Michelin PSS in my possession and there is a huge difference between how the K1 ferrari spec tire looks compared to the regular version. Same size and everything. The K1 tire runs a much more rounded sidewall with a rim protector buldging out and you are also only getting 7/32 tread with a new tire. that is roughly 30% less thread compared to the normal version fyi... To be fair its not anybody's fault since it is the correct size tire. Michelin should have been more clear about this or vendors selling them should have pointed it out to you. I found out the hard way and had to send the tires back and reorder the non K1 tire. Good thing is that its safe running this setup. Just have to be more careful with curbing the wheel. Alan

Here are my VS8.2 with the same Michelin PSS in the same 285/30/20 on a 20x10" wheel but with the non Ferrari "K1" tire in the back
The fronts are 245/35/20 "K1" tire mounted on a 20x9" wheel. Notice how there is a lip protruding out to protect the wheel and how the tire looks more rounded compared to the back where its pretty much square and flush.

I want to ask if they have "k1 spec" for 21" PSS? If so, have to stay away from them for my next set of tires. |

"K1" spec just means its a OE tire for Ferrari. I'm not a aware of any Ferrari that runs a 21" tire that size but you can check on the Michelin website to be sure. Asia and the US sometimes have different tires available for some strange reason.

So no K1 spec for the 255/30/21 and 295/30/21 size. Scroll down in this thread to so 21" PSS on 21x9+21x11, looks great.

And the tires and wheels do not protrude out of the wheel well either. Some pictures: Something doesn't look right with the set of Morr V8.2 that e_magun got..... rim width too wide? BTW, e_magun, you can get a ticket from HK Police with the wheels and tyres protruding OUT of the wheel well!

Could the V8.2 on e_magun's F10 be M3 spec, aren't those 20x10.5 in the rear? And here's a pics of K1 285/30/20 PSS on some Vossen 20x10.5, looks very similar too me. K1 285/30/20 PSS Normal 285/30/20 PSS

^^ I agree.
Its simply a K1 vs non K1 tire thing. Those of you that don't have that stretch look (like myself) is because you don't have the K1 tire!! simple as that. I don't know what else i need to show to prove this. Alan

Hi guys, thanks for all your advises and they're all really helpful.
I have sent Jorge these photos (and also a link to this post) TWO WEEKS AGO and he told me he had showed Andy to investigate the problem. Up until now, not a single word from Morr. I don't know who should responsible for this but I have a great feeling that they just want to leave it until I no longer following it up. I totally agreed someone here mentioned that when comes to technical problems, Andy will response instantly. When it comes to production and after sale services, it basically looks like they work only once a week. |
