Injector covered in oil?

So a customer called saying somehow he put diesel in his 550I N63. Not sure how this was possible but it happened. He had a mechanic drain the fuel & clean the rails & replace the plugs to get the car to start.

He ordered new injectors, coils etc which I'm replacing now. Upon pulling the injector from cylinder 4 it was COVERED in what seems to be oil.

Any ideas?

Typically that's from a leaky valve cover gasket.
