Help with EKPS coding!

I am really stumped. My 2011 528i left me stranded and would crank but not start, had to tow it home. I put a motorcycle battery to jump the fuel pump and the car will start, so I bought the expensive EKPS ecu and replaced it, now I need to code it. A few questions
1. Does the battery really need 13V and how are you guys supplying it? I had a jumper box on the terminals in the engine bay
2. Initially purchased a Launch x431 but had no luck coding. Can anyone direct me to a tutorial on ekps coding with it?
3. After that fail I purchased the E-Net cable obdii to ethernet, found a copy of esys and psdz and tried following this https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/c.../post-13491726 did not work
4. Currently looking for a copy of ISTA+ to try, but not sure if itll work with my f10
Currently stumped, please let me know!
