Pricing at Order vs. Delivery
Hi all,
I ordered at 2014 528i back in October 2013 and at the time it was a great deal on the lease. Long story short, with 7 MSDs (in NJ), the MSRP was $64,115, no cap cost reduction, I'll be paying $639 (tax in payment)for 36 mo and 15k mi/yr. However, I see that holiday cash is slightly higher at $1,500 than it was in Oct at $1,000. I was wondering, if there is a more favorable deal and pricing now at pickup (it should be at dealer within a week, car just arrived at port yesterday), would they re-price the lease agreement? I got a price from a different dealer just for fun and it was $598/mo, a good $42 less per month. If I forfeit my $1k I put down at order, I would still be better off going with the Dec pricing. What do you guys think? How does it work? I also have 1 payment left on my current car which we didn't work in the deal back in Oct but might ask for that too. Thanks for any insight since the searching hasn't given me a real answer. |

It would be a cold day in hell for them to re-price... just my opinion. Maybe someone, somewhere has gotten a dealer to do this? Just seems like a complete long shot. They're selling you a car based on the current deal at the time. Keep in mind, your scenario would otherwise run in reverse, too - where someone orders during Dec for $1500 "holiday cash" and picks up the car in March when no incentive is running... do they increase the price of the car on delivery? No.
