Urmm, what have I broken? (photo id help needed!)
Hi,
I drove over a stuck out kerb earlier and managed to drop the car onto it when I came off the other side. It made something of a scraping noise, and when I looked later I've notice that I've damaged some kind of box thing under the drivers door sill. Does anyone know what the heck it is that I've broken and if it matters?!

If you have no other damage this one is minor.
That's plastic jack point, part that costs approximately $5 and takes 2 min to to replace. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41clQFSXkwL.jpg |

Great, thanks.
Yep, seems to just be that other than a minor scratch on the under edge of the door sill. It was only the edge of the kerb so I think I'm good. I'll leave it, haven't got a spare wheel so unlikely to ever jack the thing up anyway. Cheers

Even if you have to lift the car, you might not need to change it, by the looks of it. Since it's so inexpensive and easy to do, I'd personally do it as some folks claim it could introduce some noise (cannot confirm if it's in fact correct - search for "noise" in the thread below).
