An Alpina is a more exclusive performance alteration of a BMW.
Not everyone will own an Alpina there lies the brands exclusivity.

An Alpina is like a special suit you are tailored for and it goes about it's performance discreetly and does not bastardize the car with a multiple of aerodynamic aids like other tuners and unlike other tuners it has an exclusive relationship with the BMW parent company and are brought in when a new car is developed as Alpina engineers contribute to engine development when a car is in the engineering stages.

The B5/B5 Touring will be a very tempting car. And like all Alpina models retain a high level of exclusivity which is what an Alpina customer goes for.
