Would YOU buy an F10 today???

So one source says the new G30 is out in 2017

BMW Blog says 2017 http://www.bmwblog.com/tag/g30/

The video says 2016

This says 2016

http://www.carmagazi...-scoop-dossier/

Noting the new G11 will be any day now and is thus early - I doubt BMW will wait 2 years before following the 7 with a new 5.

And considering they are testing it I have a feeling it will be summer 2016 which is 12 months away.

So you do buy an F10 now - LCI used and then loose a fortune when it comes out... or do you buy something else???? What would you do?

I saw a list for MY 2016 BMW's, and the F10 ends productions 10/2016.

I'm not sure the G11 has anything to do with the G30.. It's not like new models all come at once… That said, I think your estimate of summer 2016 agrees with what I've read.

I'm in the same boat, my 335 lease is due to expire in January and I've considered:

1. extending it until the G30 is out
2. buying a CPO F10 couple years old until the G30 is out
3. leasing an F10 then swapping for G30 at least end (or a little early through pull ahead or trade-in).

I decided on #3. Lease rates and discounts on the G30 likely won't be very good at first, while the F10, still a great looking car that doesn't feel at all dated (until the G30 comes out anyway ), and even now seems to have very good lease deals, let alone when year-end promotions hit. I'm in the process of shopping now and deciding whether to try to pull ahead out of my 335 now (thus be ready for a G30 that much sooner), or wait for the year-end promotions.

Yes I would. Besides if you get the G30, you will then regret you didn't wait for the LCI. It's really a never ending cycle. If you need a car and want a 5er, you're still a ways away from the next gen, take the plunge.

If you can hold out for a few years, then wait, but really these cars change every 4-5 years so you're always going to be behind fairly quickly.

If you lease, that's the only way to stay on the up.
